Our Mission

We’re on a mission to connect you with the food you eat. For 3 generations and over 50 years we’ve been farming at Swillington in Yorkshire and have been at the forefront of sustainable, high welfare food production.

Meat Boxes

Our Meat Boxes were inspired by the popular organic veg box concept and contain a seasonal mix of meat direct from the farm. We want to revolutionise the way you think about and buy meat – by connecting you with the producer so you can trust and understand the story behind what you’re eating.

Buying a monthly meatbox helps you enjoy a seasonal mix of free range, rare breed organic meats whilst sticking to a budget, planning your meals and cooking more.

We want to help you eat less meat but eat better meat, seasonally.

How it works

Our range of meat boxes make it easy to plan your family’s meals for the month. Every box contains meat for a mix of meals, from the Sunday roast and slow cooking cuts to quick meals, and breakfast or BBQ favourites. As we butcher everything ourselves we can even include offal, bones and traditional cuts.

So that you know the story behind your food we have regular seasonal ‘Meat Ups’ where you can visit the farm and we include ‘foodie factfiles’ of news, info and recipes in every box

‘Meat Match’

To ensure that you’ll only ever receive the meat you like we ‘meat match’ every box to suit your likes and dislikes.

As we butcher everything ourselves nose-to-tail on the farm we can tailor each box ensuring you receive a seasonal mix of meat suited to your household and food waste is reduced.

We’ve made ordering as simple as possible, just customise your box, set up your account and let us deliver. We even use a recyclable cool box so you don’t have to be home.

In a few short years our meat boxes have grown from a handful of local deliveries to a nationwide service that has been awarded ‘Best Box Scheme in the UK’ by the Soil Association Organic Awards.

Our team work hard to put quality and animal welfare at the heart of everything we product and as our meat boxes grow in popularity we’re gradually increasing our herd, our team and the land we farm to supply more households without compromising on the values that make our meat so special.
