Jo has farmed at Swillington all her life. Putting animal welfare and the environment first are at the heart of everything she does. Jo is committed to doing the job right and going the extra mile to make sure everything we produce is of the highest possible quality .
In her own words she has “Farmed, lived and worked in Swillington for over 40 years and I’m still learning.”
Ed runs the retail side of the business and created the organic monthly meatboxes.
Ed was President of the Food Society whilst at Leeds University. He currently writes the food and farming column for our local paper and is a director of deliciouslyorkshire.
Simon has years of experience from starting out on Butcher’s Row in Leeds Kirkgate Market to working in butchers shops around Leeds and preparing meat for Yorkshire’s top restaurants when working as a catering butcher.
He brings this experience and desire for producing excellent quality meat to the farm and prepares all the meat for the farm shop, markets and meat boxes.
Pete helps keep the farm running, He volunteered over 15 years ago and has not managed to escape! He helps with livestock, the garden, maintenance and deliveries as well as the running of Swillington Park Fishing.
Brett oversees the preparation, packing and delivery of our meat boxes.

We also have regular volunteer days in the garden so if you want to get experience come out when the shop’s open and have a chat.
We provide regular work experience for students but these placements fill up fast throughout the year. Please Contact Us to enquire.
