We’re always looking to collaborate with other local businesses and it’s just brilliant to see them put their own stamp on our produce, whether it’s the city’s quirky street food merchants, top local restaurants or the interesting dishes made by our friends during Leeds Indie Food Festival last month.
With that in mind, we’re delighted to introduce our latest collaboration – and we can’t wait for you to try it!
Staal Smokehouse in Beverley have expertly smoked our Swillington Farm Free Range Chicken Breast and it really is as delicious as it sounds.
We met Justin Staal at the deliciouslyorkshire awards – he was celebrating a double win at the awards (Best Fish & Best Newcomer) and so were we (Best Fresh Produce and Best Meat).
We’ve decided to create a delicious local collaboration by pairing our award winning outdoor reared meat with Justin’s award winning smokehouse -the result is this free range chicken breast which has been twice smoked to give it a fuller flavour.
After brining, it is cold smoked over oak then heat is addedto the smoke to ensure that the breast is cooked through and ready to eat.
Delicious cold in a freshly made sandwich, ripped and cast over a salad, or heated through pasta or as a risotto for a fantastic kitchen supper.
