Leeds Indie Food is a new, collaborative, independent festival of food and drink culture running from 7th – 24th May 2015.
Swillington Farm is delighted to be taking part and we’ve come up with some delicious collaborations with some of Leeds’ best chefs and venues. This will be a great opportunity for you to taste some Swillington Specials on the farm and across the city.
Our collaborations are all themed around our free range rare breed saddleback pigs. We want to give you a chance to taste our pork three ways – a prime cut and two traditional cuts you might not have eaten before.
Three venues in Leeds will have a Swillington Special on the menu throughout Leeds Indie Food Festival from the 7th to 24th May 2015:
- Pig’s Head Sandwich @ The Greedy Pig – 58 North St, Leeds
- Saddleback Fillet @ Salvos – 111-115 Otley Road, Headingley
- Pigs Trotters @ The Grub & Grog Shop – Northern Monk, Holbeck
We would also like to invite you to experience the story of this pig in the city from field to fork at our Leeds Indie Food Meatup on Saturday 16th May 11 – 1.30.
As part of this Meatup we’ll take you on a tour of the farm to see the pigs, there’ll be a butchery demo in our on farm butchery and a tapas selection of the Swillington Specials for you to sample. All paired with drinks from Leeds’ independent Latitude Wine!
